With the arrival of a spectacular new nighttime parade and a swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern, Disney is pulling out all the stops against Universal’s Epic Universe. Here’s what to expect if you visit Walt Disney World next year.

Summer at Walt Disney World is about to get even more magical wit “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”, an all-new nighttime parade debuting in 2025. This glowing extravaganza combines beloved Disney storytelling with state-of-the-art lighting effects.

The parade will showcase fan-favorite characters in an entirely new light… literally. Iconic heroes and heroines from Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, Moana, and other beloved films will appear in dazzling light displays.

One character will make an extra special appearance: the Blue Fairy from Disney’s classic Pinocchio. Representing transformation and magic, the Blue Fairy will tie each float and costume together, casting starlight across the parade and illuminating a constellation of hope, imagination, and Disney dreams.

Magic Kingdom in 2025: A Pirates of the Caribbean-Inspired Tavern

Seasoned buccaneers, get ready to set sail for a new adventure with the opening of a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern in late 2025. This new Adventureland destination promises to bring pirate lore to life with a hearty menu of grogs and grub fit for all ages.

We got an initial sneak peek of this new destination at D23 Brazil 2024. The lounge’s immersive design will whisk guests away to a swashbuckling world where treasure maps and mysterious surprises may lie just beyond the next corner. And, keeping true to the spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean, the tavern will feature plenty of nautical decor and magical touches – we spy a feature wall with ships in bottles and more than a handful of spooky portraits.
