Disney will convert Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure from 3D to 2D during a brief refurbishment next month at EPCOT.
The attraction will close from 10–13 November 2025 and reopen with optimised digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D. The conversion forms part of a broader technical modernisation of the ride system.
Beyond the switch to 2D projection, Disney has confirmed that new props and lighting enhancements will be added to both the queue and attraction over the coming months, though specific details have not been provided.
Disneyland Paris Upgrades
The original Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy at Disneyland Paris is receiving similar updates. The Paris version will gain an enhanced queue featuring a new scene, alongside new props and improved projections throughout the ride itself. The attraction will also undergo the same 3D-to-2D conversion as part of technical equipment modernisation.
The shift away from 3D represents a notable change for the trackless dark ride, which opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in 2014 and at EPCOT in 2021. Disney has not provided reasoning for the format change, though the company has emphasised clearer imagery in its announcement.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closes 10 November 2025 and reopens 13 November 2025 at EPCOT.
