Tokyo Disney Resort will run its New Year program from 1st through 12th January 2026, featuring character greetings in traditional Japanese outfits, special shows, and fireworks.

New Year at Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea
The New Year’s Greeting will take place twice daily on the parade route, running for approximately 25 minutes. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and other characters will appear in traditional Japanese dress aboard festive floats, accompanied by a 12-piece band also dressed in traditional attire.
“it’s a small world” with Groot will also operate during the period, starting earlier on 27th December 2025.
Over at DisneySea, Mediterranean Harbor will host the New Year’s Harbor Greeting twice daily. The 10-minute water show features seven performers, with Mickey, Minnie, and friends appearing on a festive boat in New Year’s outfits.
The newly-appointed Tokyo Disney Resort Ambassadors will make appearances at greetings on 1st January.
What Else Is On?
The “New Day, New Dreams” fireworks spectacular will run from 26th December through 12th January, themed around “Step forward with new dreams.”
New Year’s merchandise launches at the Tokyo Disney Resort on 1st December.
