Exciting news – Shanghai Disney Resort is building a fourth themed hotel!

The new offering will sit directly opposite the park entrance, the resort announced the news to celebrate the park reaching 100 million visitors since opening. The hotel will serve as a gateway property for guests entering the park. Disney has not yet revealed a theme, timeline, or opening date for the project.

Fourth Hotel and Expanded Disneytown

The development plan also includes new retail and dining venues in Disneytown, the resort’s shopping and entertainment district located outside the park gates. These additions will expand options for resort guests beyond the theme park itself.

The fourth hotel adds to Shanghai Disney Resort’s significant growth programme, which already includes:

Shanghai Disneyland opened in June 2016. The resort currently operates two themed hotels: the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel.

Further details about the fourth hotel’s theming, capacity, and opening timeline have not been announced.
