Olaf Draws! is a brand-new drawing class experience heading to the upcoming Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios. And yes, everyone’s favourite snowman is your host.
Brought to life as a new Audio-Animatronics figure, Olaf leads guests through the art of character drawing from an animator’s desk: a nod to his memorable moment in the Emmy Award-winning short Once Upon a Studio.
The setting is a Frozen-themed animator’s studio, with younger guests seated at sleigh-themed tables and older visitors at animator-desk-style workstations.
Josh Gad has recorded original dialogue for the figure. “I’m so thrilled that a whole new generation of kids can dream of becoming animators one day and can actually begin their journey right there on the studio lot,” he said.
The Olaf Draws! Lineup
Since Olaf can’t quite hold a pencil, he calls on real Disney Animation artists to guide guests through each class. Each session teaches a different character. The current line-up is:
- Mickey Mouse, with director Dan Abraham (Once Upon A Studio, Baymax!)
- Minnie Mouse, with animator Hyun Min Lee (Frozen 2, The Princess and the Frog)
- Donald Duck, with animator Austin Traylor (Once Upon A Studio, Moana 2)
- Genie, with animator Eric Goldberg (Aladdin, Hercules)
- Moana, with story artist Samantha Vilfort (Encanto, Zootopia 2)
- Stitch, with director Fawn Veerasunthorn (Wish, Raya and the Last Dragon)
- Olaf, with director Trent Correy (Once Upon A Studio, Frozen 3)
- Ursula, with animator Michael Woodside (Big Hero 6, Encanto)
- Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde, with director Byron Howard (Zootopia, Zootopia 2)
Olaf Draws! opens as part of the Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios in late summer 2026.
