Disney has revealed full details of Off the Page!, a new character meet-and-greet area coming as part of the Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in late summer 2026.
The concept is a clever one; each character is placed within a specific department of the Disney Animation Studios, giving every meet-and-greet its own themed setting rooted in the actual animation process.
Who Can You Meet?
Six characters are confirmed across the space:
- Mulan in the Story department, posing in front of an oversized storyboard panel
- Rapunzel in Layout, set against a multiplane camera with layers of backgrounds and painted cells
- Chip ‘n’ Dale in Hand-Drawn Animation
- Donald and Daisy in CG Animation
- Goofy in Lighting
- Stitch in Effects
A Collaboration Between Imagineering and Animation Studios
Off the Page! is a joint effort between Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation Studios. And the hope is that it does more than just entertain.
Dan Abraham, director at Walt Disney Animation Studios and co-director of Once Upon a Studio, put it well: guests waiting to meet a character will also be picking up a bit of studio history along the way, and that could stick with them long after the visit.
Off the Page! opens as part of the Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios in late summer 2026 along with new experience, Olaf Draws!
