Alton Towers Announce Opening Date for Bluey Ride

Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! is opening at Alton Towers Resort on 28th March 2026, bringing the beloved Australian animated series to CBeebies Land for the first time.

The Bluey ride is themed around the iconic Grannies game from the show, in which Bluey and Bingo transform into elderly characters Rita and Janet.

Details on the ride experience itself are still being kept under wraps, but the addition marks a notable expansion for CBeebies Land, which has long been one of the UK’s most popular theme park destinations for younger children.

A Giant Bluey Portrait… Made of Beans

To mark the opening, Alton Towers has unveiled a giant Bluey portrait constructed from 11,494 bean cans, measuring 20 by 15 metres.

The installation is a nod to the Grannies episode specifically, in which Bingo’s character Rita takes a tumble on a tin of beans. It’s a bit of fun for anyone who knows the episode well, and the kind of thing that’ll make for a great photo for parents accompanying their little ones.
