Disney California Adventure is marking its 25th anniversary throughout 2026 with a series of limited-time attractions, character appearances, and merchandise releases.
The park, which opened on 8th February 2001 on the former site of Disneyland’s car park, has undergone significant transformations over the past quarter-century – adding lands including Cars Land, Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, and most recently San Fransokyo Square.
DCA 25th Anniversary: What’s On

Anniversary celebrations kick off on 6th February with the return of opening day attraction Soarin’ Over California, running through 1st July before being replaced by the new Soarin’ Across America.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will also debut new outfits on Buena Vista Street, featuring sun motifs and vibrant colours that reference the park’s opening era.
Meanwhile, over at the Grand Californian, Humphrey the Bear will be greeting guests for the first time.
Top Merch Picks

Merchandise includes apparel and collectible pins featuring stylised artwork of park icons like Carthay Circle Theatre, Pixar Pal-A-Round, and Grizzly Peak, available at Elias & Co., Gone Hollywood, and Seaside Souvenirs.
The interactive Pixar Pal-A-Round popcorn bucket – which reacts to locations across both parks – launches the same day.
Food offerings include a limited-edition confetti cake shake at Schmoozies! (6th-15th February only). Plus, guests entering the park on 8th February with valid admission may receive a complimentary commemorative map (whilst supplies last).
The celebrations coincide with the Disneyland Resort’s broader 70th anniversary festivities and the 25th anniversaries of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Downtown Disney District, both of which opened in early 2001 as part of what was then the largest expansion in Disneyland Resort’s history.
