Universal Studios Japan has announced it is working with The Pokémon Company on a new project, promising “ultra-realistic adventures” that will combine fun for all 5 senses.
The project will debut at Universal Studios Japan before possibly expanding to other Universal parks worldwide, though no opening dates or specific details have been revealed.
An Existing Partnership With Pokémon
The announcement builds on Universal and The Pokémon Company’s 2021 partnership, which introduced Pokémon parades and experiences to the Osaka park. The timing aligns with Pokémon’s 30th anniversary in 2026 and Universal Studios Japan’s 25th anniversary.
USJ President Taku Murayama described the project as transcending “traditional entertainment” under the park’s ‘NO LIMIT!’ development strategy, though further specifics remain under wraps.
