Disney’s Animal Kingdom will debut its first Audio-Animatronics figure of Officer Clawhauser when Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opens on 7 November in the Tree of Life Theatre.
The cheetah character, who serves as the receptionist at the Zootopia Police Department in the 2016 film, will appear in physical form alongside the 4D show’s digital elements. This marks a significant addition for the character, who has previously only appeared as a walk-around meet-and-greet character at international Disney parks.
Officer Clawhouser… Out of Uniform
Rather than his recognisable ZPD uniform, the animatronic depicts Clawhauser in off-duty attire for the show’s fictional Zoogether Day celebration. Disney has dressed the figure in glow necklaces, bracelets, and a glittery Gazelle t-shirt – a reference to the pop star character he obsesses over in the film.
The figure will interact with guests during the show’s watch party concept, where wolf host Heidi Howler livestreams citywide performances. According to Disney, Clawhauser’s storyline involves his failed attempt to become the V.I.Z. (Very Important Zootopian), leading him to “take matters into his own paws”.
Better Zoogether!
Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will utilise “Carrot Vision” glasses to create 3D effects alongside the animatronic, with characters from both the original film and the upcoming Zootopia 2 appearing throughout the show.
The attraction opens 7 November 2025 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
