Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will debut a new version of Soarin’ next summer: Soarin’ Across America.
The overlay will replace the current Soarin’ Around the World film that has played at both Disney California Adventure and EPCOT since 2016. The new version will showcase American natural landmarks and cityscapes from coast to coast, marking the first US-focused iteration of the flying theatre attraction since the original Soarin’ Over California.
Walt Disney Imagineering is currently capturing more than a dozen locations across the United States for the new film. The experience will retain the attraction’s signature elements, including in-theatre scents synchronised to on-screen scenes, alongside a new musical score.

Disney Celebrating America
Soarin’ Across America forms the centrepiece of Disney’s theme park contribution to “Disney Celebrating America”, a company-wide initiative commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
“At its heart, America’s story is one of imagination, ambition, and possibility – the same ideals that have guided Disney since the beginning,” said Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. “This celebration honors both a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’s next.”
The broader celebration will run from Veterans Day 2025 through the 4 July 2026 weekend, with programming across Disney’s entertainment, sports, and theme park divisions.
The initiative will culminate in a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast on 4 July 2026 titled “Disney Celebrates America”. David Muir, anchor and managing editor of World News Tonight with David Muir, will lead coverage featuring ABC News correspondents reporting from across the country, alongside entertainers, athletes, explorers, and historians.
The broadcast will air across Disney’s linear networks and streaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic, concluding with fireworks displays from both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
Disney has not confirmed whether Soarin’ Across America will be a permanent replacement or a limited-time overlay for the semiquincentennial celebration.
